Predator Process

I did this way back in the holidays, and I scanned the sketch I did last night, I'll show you how I got from the sketch to the WIP. This is pretty well an aircraft inspired by my friend Daniel Graffenberger (Talros, that's his address to the right), and I wanted to experiment with what I could achieve from a few of his tuts.

BC-54

I did this one just before I started Uni, I was experimenting with just the basic round brush and a few other bits and pieces. I was majorly inspired by what I saw in Sparth's sketchbook so I though I would see how Photoshop went. Turned out that it works quite well, especially with all of my custom shapes and designs above. The one thing I hate about drawing war ships is the turrets, they can be so time consuming and fiddly - all I needed to do was to create a basic turret and copy it several times. Credit goes to Steve Burg for the use of his P-Brush. The end result was something that looked something like a Hiigaran Battlecruiser, or a Republican Star Destroyer - take your pick (I prefer the Hiigaran BC).
Hopefully, when I have the time I'll do full renderings of this beasty.

Introduction

Good day to all those reading this first post.
Let me introduce myself, some of you may already know me; I am Alexander, or Alex - Alexander Roy Gabriel House.

I am a freelance concept artist, as well as sci-fi writer, comic artists and vector artist (brushes and concept shapes). I do quite a lot of digital design work and speed paints, although before any of them happen I fill up my sketchbook with ideas, thumbnails, concept, observations - anything. My first stages tend to be sketches and WIPs, although I am cautious to post them on Deviant Art since it is more like my portfolio.

Before I post any work, I just want to state that these, despite the fact that they are WIPs and sketches are still my ideas and thus under strict copyright, even if you don't adhere to it, I am quite strict about it. Although, I'm sure most people can be trusted, kudos to you guys, as to the art thiefs... SUFFER THE WRATH OF KHAN! However, I know this is going to inspire quite a few, so if you get any ideas as of this then that's awesome.

Anyways, hope you enjoy this blog.
